Finding the Right Developer Tool
Most jobs here involve reading data, converting it, or preparing it for production. For reading, the JSON Formatter indents messy JSON and points to the line and column of any syntax error. When two API responses should match but do not, the JSON Diff Viewer lists every added, removed and changed value by its path.
For converting, pick the tool named after your source and target formats, such as JSON to YAML or CSV to JSON. Database work has its own helper. The SQL Formatter uppercases keywords and indents long queries, with dialect options such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
Some small tasks come up again and again. The Chmod Calculator turns file permissions such as rwxr-xr-x into the number 755 and back. The UUID Generator makes random v4 or time-ordered v7 IDs in bulk. The JWT Decoder shows the header and payload of a token. It does not check the signature, so a token that decodes cleanly is not proof that it is genuine.
