How Your Exact Age Is Worked Out
Your exact age is the number of full years, months and days from your date of birth to today, or to any date you pick. This calculator counts whole months first and then the days left over, so the answer matches how people normally state an age.
Just taking one year from another can be off by a year. If you were born in November 1990, the sum 2026 - 1990 says 36, but you are still 35 until your birthday comes around. The tool checks whether the birthday has passed on the target date. It also handles short months. From January 31, it counts to the last day of each shorter month, such as February 28.
Under the main answer you get the same span as total months, weeks, days, hours and minutes. Hours and minutes are whole days times 24 and times 1,440. They do not use a time of birth. These totals help with forms that ask for an age in months, or with fun milestones like your 10,000th day.
