Image Watermark

This tool stamps a watermark on a photo: your name, a copyright line or your logo. You control where it sits, how big and transparent it is, and its angle. You can also repeat it across the whole image.

For a text watermark, type the text and pick a size, color and opacity. The size is in pixels of the photo itself, so large photos need a larger size. For example, 48 pixels is clear on a 1,200 pixel image but small on a 4,000 pixel one. For a logo, upload a PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG file up to 10 MB and set its width as a share of the photo width, from 5% to 100%. A PNG logo with a transparent background looks cleanest.

Place the mark in the center or any corner, or choose Tile to repeat it in a grid across the picture. The angle runs from -180 to 180 degrees, with -30 as the default, and opacity from 5% to 100%, with 40% as the default. The preview updates as you change each setting.

A watermark makes copying less attractive and shows who owns the image, but it is not bulletproof. A single corner mark can be cropped off, and editing tools can paint over marks. Tile mode is much harder to remove, at the cost of a busier image.

The result downloads as a PNG, which keeps full quality but can be larger than a JPEG original. Shrink it afterwards with the Image Compressor. Photos up to 20 MB are processed in your browser. For documents, use PDF Watermark.
