Random Name Picker

Paste a list of names, one per line, and this picker draws one or more winners at random. Every name has the same chance: with 25 names, each has a 1 in 25 (4%) chance of being picked first.

Before the draw, the tool trims extra spaces, skips blank lines and removes duplicate names. That matters for raffles. If Sam is on your list twice, Sam still gets only one entry, and the name count above the box shows unique names only. A short animation flicks through the names. Then the tool shuffles the whole list with secure random numbers and takes the first names as winners. When you pick several winners at once, no name can come up twice.

For draws with several rounds, such as first, second and third prize, turn on Remove picked names. Each winner is then deleted from the text box, so they cannot win again. The Pick History keeps your last 20 draws with the time of each one. That is handy when someone asks to see who won earlier. You can copy a single winner or use Copy All for the full list of winners. The picker suits classroom cold-calls, office raffles, giveaways and choosing who presents first. If you want to split everyone into groups rather than pick a few people, use the Team Generator.
