- Optionally turn on "Remove winner after spin" for elimination rounds.
- Click "Spin!" to start the wheel.
- Wait for the wheel to slow down and stop on the winner.
- Copy the winner, check the Spin History, and spin again as often as you like.
Spin the Wheel to Make a Random Choice
Type your options, one per line, and spin: the wheel picks one at random, and every slice has the same chance. With 4 options each has a 25% chance, and with 10 options each has 10%. The winner is chosen with secure random numbers before the wheel starts to turn. The spin itself is for show. The wheel makes 5 to 7 full turns over 4 to 6 seconds, slows down smoothly and stops inside the winning slice. The number of turns, the length of the spin and the stopping point within the slice are all random. So nobody can predict the result by watching how it starts.
Want one option to come up more often? Add it more than once. Each line gets its own slice, so writing Pizza twice on a list of four lines gives it 2 chances in 4, or 50%. Options longer than 15 characters are shortened on the wheel, but the full text shows in the winner box. Neighboring slices never share a color, so the wheel stays readable even with many options.
For elimination games, turn on Remove winner after spin. The winning line is deleted from your list after each spin, and the wheel shrinks until one option is left. The Spin History keeps your last 20 results with the time of each. The wheel is handy for choosing dinner, picking the next chore or running a classroom game. To draw several names in one go, the Random Name Picker is faster. For a simple yes or no, just flip a coin.
